Requirements for professional membership

The ISHCC welcomes professionals from various fields who are dedicated to holistic well-being. We currently accept members from the following professions: Holistic Counsellors, Holistic Coaches, Meditation & Mindfulness Facilitators, and Therapeutic Arts Practitioners.
To become a professional member of the ISHCC (International Society of Holistic Coaching and Counselling), you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Successful completion of a qualification from a training course approved by the ISHCC.
or - Achieving the minimum requirement for the specific membership level you are applying for.
These criteria ensure that individuals seeking professional membership with the ISHCC have obtained the necessary qualifications and meet the required standards based on their chosen level of membership. By meeting these criteria, members demonstrate their competence and commitment to upholding the standards set by the ISHCC in the field of holistic coaching and counselling.
*For Level 1 membership, your qualification should consist of a minimum of 80 hours of face-to-face training. Alternatively, if you have at least 2 years of professional experience in the industry on top of your qualification, demonstrating the development of required expertise, you may also qualify. We strive to ensure that our members possess the necessary knowledge and experience to deliver holistic services effectively and uphold our standards of excellence.
PLEASE NOTE: To maintain active membership status, Level 1 and Level 2 members are required to fulfil the following annual requirements:
- Complete a minimum of 10 hours of professional development activities
- Participate in a minimum of 5 hours of one on one sessions and/or supervision from an ISHCC-qualified practitioner or similar yearly.
These ongoing commitments ensure that our members stay current, continuously enhance their skills, and maintain the highest standards of professional practice. Eligibility for membership renewal is contingent upon meeting these requirements each year. While Level 3 members are not obligated, it is strongly recommended that they follow the same requirements.
